La Traviata is a tragic opera in three acts composed by Giuseppe Verdi, with a libretto by Francesco Maria Piave. Based on the novel "La Dame aux Camélias" by Alexandre Dumas, it tells the story of Violetta, a Parisian courtesan who falls in love with Alfredo, a young nobleman. Despite their love, societal pressures and misunderstandings threaten to tear them apart, and ultimately, Violetta must choose between her love for Alfredo and her own selflessness. With some of the most beloved arias in the operatic repertoire, including "Sempre libera" and "Addio del passato," "La traviata" is a masterpiece of Italian opera and a timeless exploration of love, sacrifice, and redemption.
